Leading Change at Encaja: From Designer to Team Leader

When I joined Encaja Embalajes, my initial role was focused on design, but I quickly realized that my impact could go far beyond visuals. The company needed a transformation — not only in its brand identity but also in its strategy and internal processes. That’s when my role started to evolve: from designer to a key figure in team leadership and management.

Brand Transformation and Commercial Strategy

The first major challenge was redefining Encaja’s identity. I led a complete rebranding, modernizing the company’s image and aligning it with its vision of sustainability and innovation. But a visual change without a solid strategy is meaningless, so I also worked on creating a strong brand narrative, focused on the company’s real value proposition.

In addition, I took on the responsibility of optimizing commercial materials. I redesigned the corporate presentation and structured case studies to highlight the impact of our products in key sectors. This improved brand perception and strengthened communication with clients and strategic partners.

Team Leadership: Building Alignment Around a Shared Vision

Beyond design and strategy, my role at Encaja evolved into team management. Coordinating different departments, aligning efforts, and ensuring that each team member had a clear purpose became essential parts of my work.

I led collaboration between design, marketing, and sales, ensuring that all departments worked under a unified vision.

I fostered an agile work culture, encouraging fast iterations, constant feedback, and data-driven decision-making.

I also worked on optimizing internal processes, streamlining workflows to boost productivity without sacrificing quality.

A Leadership Style Based on Vision and Motivation

Leadership isn’t just about assigning tasks or supervising results. It’s about understanding what motivates each team member, empowering their strengths, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive. My focus has always been to build trust, foster autonomy, and promote a growth mindset — encouraging innovation from within.

My experience at Encaja allowed me to consolidate my profile as both a team leader and brand strategist, proving that design goes far beyond aesthetics: it becomes a real tool for transformation when combined with leadership and business vision.

Today, I continue applying those lessons to every new challenge, always aiming to build purpose-driven brands and lead teams that turn ideas into real impact.
